Mario Teran
Biography:

Mario began his sheet metal career in 1972 by joining the apprenticeship program at the Los Angeles JATC.
He completed his apprenticeship training and graduated in 1976. After graduation, he worked with the tools for several of our signatory contractors.
He served the Local Union by becoming a steward and provided a good service to many of our members who needed help with problems in the shop or on a job site. His first elected office was the position of Warden and then he became a Local Union Trustee.
Mario was then elected to the Executive Board and served in that capacity for three years.
In 1990, Mario was elected to the position of Business Representative and then Recording Secretary/Business Representative for Local Union 108 in 1996. He served in those positions for twelve years.
At the time of the merger of Local Union 108 and Local Union 102, Mario was appointed to the position of Business Representative for the East Los Angeles area. Mario also represents Local 105 members employed by the City of Los Angeles, the County of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Unified School District facilities.
