Rocky began his career in the sheet metal trade in 1970 by joining the apprenticeship program at the Los Angeles JATC. While working with the tools, Rocky served Local Union 105 as a trustee. In 1993, he ran for the position of Business Representative and was elected. He has held that position since then.

Rocky has served on the following committees during his term with the local union:

  • Fringe Fund Trustee
  • Appeals Committee (Trust Funds)
  • Western States Council Delegate
  • LA/OC Building Trades Delegate
  • Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee
